Affiliate Disclosure
How affiliate links work on this site, which partners are involved, and why they never influence our editorial conclusions.
Updated
What affiliate links are
Some articles contain links to merchants such as Amazon, AliExpress, and specialist hardware retailers. If you buy a product after clicking one of these links, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is not affected.
How affiliate content is identified
Every article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure banner at the top of the page, before the content begins. Product boxes with purchase links include their own disclosure line. Affiliate links are additionally tagged with rel="sponsored" so search engines can identify them.
What commissions do not buy
- Product scores and verdicts are decided before purchase links are added, following our Review Methodology.
- We link to products because they are relevant to the article, not because of commission rates.
- Negative conclusions are published with the same affiliate links as positive ones. A product we advise against buying still gets a link, because verifying our claims requires access to the product page.
Products we cover
We do not accept payment for product placement in editorial articles. Paid placements are handled exclusively as sponsored content, under the rules of the Sponsored Content Policy, and are labeled as such.
