How artificial intelligence tools are and are not used in producing this publication.

Our position
AI tools are part of a modern editorial workflow. Pretending otherwise would be dishonest; using them without human accountability would be negligent. This policy states exactly where they fit.
How we use AI
AI tools may assist with research aggregation, drafting support, copy-editing, translation, and code formatting. They are treated as instruments — like a spell-checker or a compiler — not as authors.
What is always human
- Editorial judgment. What we cover, what we conclude, and what we recommend are human decisions.
- Verification. Every factual claim is checked by a person against primary sources before publication, regardless of how the draft was produced.
- Testing. Benchmarks, measurements, and hands-on evaluations are performed by people on real hardware. AI does not generate test results.
- Accountability. The byline owner is responsible for every word published under it. “The tool got it wrong” is not an accepted explanation — see the Corrections Policy.
What we do not publish
We do not publish fully automated content, AI-generated reviews of products we have not handled, or AI-fabricated quotes, data, or sources.
Images
Technical photography and screenshots are of real hardware. Where illustrative images are AI-generated or stock, they serve as illustration only and are never presented as photographs of a device under test.
Evolution
AI capabilities change quickly. This policy is reviewed regularly, and its “Updated” date reflects the last revision.
